I completed this armor set in 3 months for DragonCon, running my single printer day and night when I wasn't working. Appearance-wise, it came out great for my first-ever armor build. However, there is a big design flaw with the armor in the way it is designed in BF2 when wearing it IRL. whether these problems are due to me not sizing correctly or the models having actual technical conflicts can be disputed.
The main problem I currently have is the chest and back pieces are too wide, which means I do not have much room to reach my arms around. This also conflicts with the bicep piece, meaning I'm holding my arms out like C-3PO, which results in my arms becoming very tired within a few hours. I firmly believe this is a technical issue because you can see within the game that the bicep pieces fade into the corners of the chest piece. But again, open to dispute if it is a problem on my end.
Shrinking the chest piece is not easy either, because I then have the abb plate to account for. With the files as is, with the only edit being the abbs being heightened, the abb piece barely fits with the chest and back, even with the gap between. It could be the hight edit that causes this issue, but adjusting the abbs to a smaller size in any other way is not an option or else it becomes too tight or does not fit at all.
I do not blame Galactic Armory at all for these issues, the models are very accurate to the game. The issues lie within the game model itself not being as IRL-friendly as other models sold elsewhere. I had a great time building it and learned a lot. Hopefully I can resolve these technical problems in time for Halloween.
