I purchased four colors of the Galactic Armory Pro-Grade ODST Visors - DIY: silver, gold, red, and blue. The quality is absolutely phenomenal. I used them for a Dutch ODST helmet printed at 100%, and the fit, clarity, and overall look are excellent.
The visors are clean and sharp, and they really make the helmet look finished and professional. The silver and blue both look phenomenal. The red and gold also look great, but they do have some noticeable prismatic color effect. The red visor shows hints of orangey gold, but it is not bad. The effect is most evident on the gold visor, which shows hints of green, blue, and orange. That is my only real complaint. I would personally love to see the reflective colors offered in a more uniform, non-prismatic finish, similar to how clean and consistent the silver and blue look.
The only other area where I could see room for improvement would be offering additional size options. This visor is made specifically for the Dutch ODST helmet printed at 100%, which works perfectly for me because that size fits my head. However, for people who need to print the helmet larger or smaller, it would be really helpful to have at least one larger and one smaller visor option available.
I understand that producing multiple sizes has manufacturing and cost considerations. One possible solution could be adjusting future helmet models so a specific visor size works across a wider range of helmet scales. For example, a visor designed for a 100% scale helmet could ideally also work for builds scaled down to around 85% or up to around 115%. That would make the visors much more flexible without requiring a completely separate manufactured visor for every possible helmet size. Another option could be for Galactic Armory to survey builders to see what helmet scale percentages are most commonly used, then offer a few size variations that would cover the majority of builds.
Overall, these visors are amazing and absolutely worth it. The quality is top-tier, the clarity is great, and they make an ODST helmet look incredible.
The next thing I would love to see from Galactic Armory would be more visor or lens kits like these for other helmets, especially Star Wars helmets. These are such a good upgrade for finished builds that it would be awesome to have similar options for more helmet styles.
